LPW - Waltham, Riverside Maximus, 19J, Model 1891, 0S, 14K multicolor gold original W.W.C.Mfg.Co. HC with rear having a flying bird swooping down to its nest containing three eggs, front with rose gold shield surrounded by multicolor floral detail, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial with script "Waltham A.W.W.Co." signature distinctive to this mvt grade, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, diamond endstones on balance and escape wheel, ornate nickel damascene, s#7196816. Gross weight of assembled watch 23.5 dwt (36.6 g). An attractive example of this scarce top quality grade, the total production of the Riverside Maximus Model 1891 was only 900 made.
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, fully wound, will tick with some prodding of the balance along with excess pressure held to stem, overhaul needed, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates with few micro-fine scratches; dial virtually flawless in visible portion with some infinitesimal pinpoint nicks to rim of seconds-register hole; fine hands, oxide to portion of minute tip; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, superb engraving detail, case front opening sluggishly and needing a nudge of assistance through the final portion of its opening range; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
